Kira Riedel 

Ms. Kira Riedel, founder of CFO Services, has been easing the minds of CEOs and their investors for 15 years.  Kira possesses a rare combination of solid operational skills, investment experience, and personality.

Kira's voracious appetite for learning and her love of a challenge is evident in her career path, which began in law firms at 17 yrs. old, prior to joining an acquisition investment/management team that managed portfolio company investments, such as Yellow Cab of Denver and the Vail/Beaver Creek Jet Center. The same team later formed an SBIC fund where Kira held positions as controller and financial analyst.  Kira went on to gain investment banking experience as senior financial analyst and a buy-side representative for Denver-Based W.G. Nielsen & Company.  Kira performed buy side transaction and analyses for clients in the energy, healthcare, environmental reclamation, telecom, construction and other industry sectors. 

In operational roles, Kira was most recently a CFO for a wind credit company in Boulder, Colorado during an extremely high growth phase where she negotiated and procured the Company’s first debt facility, completed a full financial model and valuations, implemented new systems and accounting policy and obtained certifications.  Kira also spent three years at the largest private road construction company in Denver as Manager of Assets and Equipment, where she handled all negotiations, bidding, audits, financings and asset and notes accounting management, including funding the relocation and buildout of the Company’s headquarters and the project finance of a new manufacturing plant.  

Ms. Riedel is an avid outdoor enthusiast, most recently enjoying technical rockclimbing and backcountry skiing, and an active community member and volunteer teacher with Junior Achievement and Denver School of the Arts.

 

David McGuire - Former Outdoor Industry CEO

From 2001 to 2004 Dave served as CEO of Walls Industries through some very tough circumstances.  Walls (a $125 million at the time) was a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of branded work wear, hunting gear and outdoor apparel selling to such major retailers as Wal-Mart, Tractor Supply, Home Depot and to over 2,000 independent retailers.  Dave was charged with assuaging a 10 member bank syndicate intent on liquidation while overseeing company operations and sales activities in all 50 states and did so successfully.  In addition to pragmatic operational experience, Dave brings extensive contacts from the land of private equity, where he has consulted in various investment banking roles. 

Amy Briej - Marketing

Amy Briej has 10+ years experience in developing comprehensive marketing strategies to accelerate market adoption of new products and solutions across a broad spectrum of advanced technology segments.  Amy believes strongly that there is no “Me-too product”.  She uses her innovative talents in corporate needs assessment, market intelligence, opportunity identification, and marketing program design to provide you with a step-by-step strategy to expand your customer-base.  Using some of the latest trends in B2B, Search Engine Marketing, and media, Amy has developed award winning campaigns and marketing strategies for industry leading suppliers in the electronics industry, such as, Microsoft, Intel, Altera and Motorola.  In addition to creative marketing, Amy is well versed in distribution and manufacturing methodologies, product life-cycle management, embedded software, and advanced electronics.  In Amy's words, “It always amazes me that having a sustainable marketing strategy is often last on the list of objectives for new and growing organizations.  An established marketing strategy can become the wind beneath the proverbial sales and engineering wings of a company, taking your organization to the next level, branding you as a player, and securing long-term business”.

 

Dorothy Chaffee - Administrative

Dorothy understands the demands of being a business owner, because she was one.  Having gone through the process of building and selling her own business a few years ago and taking some time off to travel the world, Dorothy is ready to roll up her sleeves and straighten out the messes that CEOs generally have dragging behind them.  She knows the entrepreneurial world, she knows the personal and business issues, she understands the beauty of being the angel that keeps the CEO organized and on task whether it’s business finances, personal or both.  Dorothy is a star at this game.
